Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage

April 26–May 2, 2027

Join Tim & Eve for a small-group pilgrimage along the El Camino de Santiago from Valença, Portugal to Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Six days of walking, seven nights together, and space to slow down, reconnect, and pay attention to what matters most.

Limited to 10 participants.

Registration closes October 1, 2026 to allow time for lodging and trip arrangements

Walk Together. Slow Down. Pay Attention

There are seasons when we need to step away from the pace and noise of everyday life and make room to listen—to God, to ourselves, and to one another.

The Camino offers a unique opportunity to do just that. For six days, we'll walk together through the beautiful countryside of Portugal and Spain, sharing meals, conversation, reflection, laughter, and the simple rhythm of putting one foot in front of the other.

This isn't a traditional tour or a retreat with a packed schedule. It's a pilgrimage—an invitation to slow down, be present, and pay attention to what God may be stirring in you and in your relationships along the way.

We'll take care of many of the practical details so you can enter more fully into the experience.

The Journey: Valença to Santiago

Our pilgrimage begins in the historic fortified town of Valença, Portugal, overlooking the Minho River and the Spanish border. From there, we'll cross into Spain and follow the Portuguese Camino north through Galicia toward Santiago de Compostela.

Over six walking days we'll cover approximately 75 miles, generally walking 10–15 miles each day. Along the way, we'll pass through small villages and historic towns, wooded paths, farmland, vineyards, and the beautiful green countryside of Galicia.

Each day will have its own rhythm. We'll walk together at times and leave space to walk individually as well. There will be time for conversation and reflection, stops for coffee or a meal, and opportunities simply to enjoy where we are.

Our final walking day brings us into Santiago de Compostela and its historic cathedral, the destination of pilgrims who have traveled these paths for centuries.

After six days on the Camino, we'll spend an additional day together in Santiago—a chance to rest, explore the historic city, celebrate the journey, and reflect on what we've experienced along the way.

Who Is This For?

This pilgrimage is especially designed for people who want to step away from their normal routines and share a meaningful experience. It’s an opportunity to reconnect, enjoy an adventure, deepen relationships, and create space to listen to God and to one another.

You don’t need to be an experienced hiker or a seasoned pilgrim. You do need to be reasonably healthy and prepared to walk approximately 10–15 miles a day for six consecutive days.

This journey may be especially meaningful if you:

  • Want some intentional time away from the pace and demands of everyday life.

  • Enjoy walking, nature, travel, and meaningful conversation.

  • Are in a season of transition or simply want space to reflect on what matters most.

  • Want to deepen your connection with God and with the people you’re walking alongside.

  • Prefer the intimacy and flexibility of a small group rather than a large organized tour.

  • Are open to a little adventure—and to whatever the Camino might teach you along the way.

Meet Your Guides: Tim & Eve Austin

We're Tim and Eve Austin, and some of the things we value most—faith, relationships, travel, walking, meaningful conversation, and experiencing life at a slower pace—come together beautifully on the Camino.

Our own journey has included more than three decades of marriage, raising three children, over 20 years of living internationally, and navigating plenty of transitions and unexpected turns along the way. Through it all, we've learned the value of stepping away from the familiar from time to time, creating space to listen, reflect, and pay attention to what matters most. We have experience as pilgrims on three separate Caminos.

Tim is a professional life and leadership coach who specializes in helping people navigate seasons of transition. Eve is a LMFT who brings a love for people, hospitality, and shared adventure that helps make the journey feel less like a tour and more like traveling with friends.

We won't be leading from the front with an itinerary in hand. We'll be walking the Camino with you—sharing meals and conversations, navigating the unexpected, and creating space for you to experience the pilgrimage in your own way.

We'd love to walk it with you.
